The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) is a Spiritual Movement and Magickal Order with Seven Grades of Initiation which are linked with the seven Chakras of Yoga, the seven traditional Planets of Astrology and the seven Metals of Alchemy.  The system of the Order is also Qabalistic in nature.  We derive our wisdom and knowledge from various Eastern and Western religious and philosophical sources.  Our ceremonies have been constructed to accord with the divine principles of Thelema and they are designed to instruct the Initiate in the Magick of Thelema, for the accomplishment of his/her True Will, and for the attainment of the Knowledge and Conversation of his/her Holy Guardian Angel.

The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) is not affiliated with any other existing Thelemic Order or Golden Dawn organization.  We are an independent Spiritual Order in which each member learns and advances on his/her own according to his/her own capacity.  There is no physical teacher or guru for members of the Order to depend on for advancement.  Every member of the Order is given the necessary tools to make progress on his/her own by the spiritual aid of his/her Holy Guardian Angel within.  Every member of the Order is to become his/her own teacher or guru, illuminated from within, and able to guide him/herself using the spiritual tools of the Order.

The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) does not have any hierarchy of officers, nor does it have any political or financial connections.  We are not like a Church, Lodge, or Party, or some other similar kind of external, social or political institution, but rather we are a Spiritual Movement and Order, and our work is Universal rather than sectarian.  We are not a Religion in the common sense of the word.  In our Order every member is to discover and create his/her own personal and unique religion from within by using the spiritual tools of the Order to accomplish this divine work.  Every member of the Order is responsible for developing and establishing his/her own magickal link to the inner planes of divine and religious consciousness.  No one can do it for another.  Self-Illumination is in the very nature of The Path.

Members of the Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) must be eighteen years of age or older.  Membership in the Order is entirely free.  There are no membership dues.  Members of the Order are not required to contribute dues or donations of any kind to hold membership status in the Order, and there are no charges for initiations, documents or for any other Order services.  Membership in the Order begins when you become a self initiate of the Order.

The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) does not practice, promote or advocate illegal activity, violence or hate in any form.  We are a Magickal Order with spiritual aims.  We seek divine Enlightenment, psychological Balance and creative Productivity.  Our main object is to accomplish the Great Work of Spiritual and Material Evolution through Religious and Scientific Methods.

In the Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·., the Neophyte is also called a Probationer, the Zelator is also called a Magician, and a Dominus Liminis is also called an Advanced Magician; the Adeptus Minor is also called the Adept Magician, the Adeptus Major is also called the Master Magician, and a member of the Adeptus Exemptus grade is also called a Perfect Magician; the Magister Templi is also known as the Most Excellent Master, the Magus as the Most Exalted Magician, and the Ipsissimus as the Most Illuminated One.

In Liber Legis, I: 40, Nuit, Our Lady of the Stars, proclaims, "Who calls us Thelemites will do no wrong, if he look but close into the word.  For there are therein Three Grades, the Hermit, and the Lover, and the man of Earth.  Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."  The first Grade is the Man of Earth Triad which concerns the lesser mysteries of the Aurora Aurea, which is, properly speaking, the First Order of the degrees of the Neophyte, Zelator and Dominus Liminis; the next Grade is the Lovers Triad which concerns the mysteries of the Rosae Rubeae et Aurea Crucis, which is the Second Order of the degrees of the Adeptus Minor, Adeptus Major, and Adeptus Exemptus; and the next Grade is the Hermit Triad which concerns the mysteries of the Astrum Argentum, which is the Third Order of the degrees of the Magister Templi, Magus, and Ipsissimus.

The First Order of the Man of Earth Grade is also known to us as the Outer College of the A.·.A.·., and this Outer College teaches the Lesser Mysteries of Nature.  The Second Order of the Lovers Grade is also known to us as the Inner College of the A.·.A.·.; it is also known as the College of the Holy Ghost (Collegia ad Spiritum Sanctum), and this Inner College concentrates and expounds the Greater Mysteries of Nature.  The Third Order of the Hermit Grade is also known to us as the Secret College of the A.·.A.·., which is above and beyond the outer and inner: it is the Invisible Apex of the Triangle of Nature.

Outer Order
Advancement

The Neophyte should "endure" nine months or longer of Probation after the initiation before advancing to the next grade of the Zelator.  The Zelator should wait twelve months or longer after the initiation before advancing to the next grade of the Dominus Liminis.  The Dominus Liminis should wait twelve to twenty one months after the initiation before taking the Oath of the Adeptus Minor.

Affiliations

The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn (Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·.) is not affiliated with any other existing Thelemic Order or Golden Dawn organization, including the O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis) and any branch of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.  We are an independent Spiritual Order which has its own magickal system and method of operation, which is different from other magickal systems and methods used by other Orders.  But by no means does this difference entail that we are against other systems and methods used by other Orders.  We are not opposed to any other Order, but nor do we endorse them.  Our position is simply neutral in relation to them all.  A member of the Order of the T.·.G.·.D.·. can also be a member of another Order without interference of any kind.  However, membership in another Order is a "personal affiliation" which does not reflect the independent nature of the T.·.G.·.D.·. in relation to other Orders.
